What is carbon offset?

Understanding carbon offset – it begins with recognizing how much greenhouse gas you generate, and acting to reduce its volume. If a complete offset of your emission is difficult, you can offset the balance by purchasing a certain volume of absorbed or reduced emissions from different people or organizations that have achieved excessive offset. Through this offset activity, the overall volume of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere decreases.

To put it simpler, it is to offset CO2 produced from our daily life by purchasing/donating to organizations that promote planting more trees or investing in clean energy producers.

In 2008, Kyoto Protocol’s first due date, people, companies, and governments’ interests toward carbon offset are becoming higher ever. Especially carbon offset relating to forestry.

Much like how people feel unethical towards throwing trash on the street, don’t you think dumping CO2 in the atmosphere is also unethical? more trees thinks that it is our moral responsibility to offset CO2 that we produced.

At more trees, the purchase of T-shirts, stickers, and other products become proof of your offset. By acquiring exclusively made products designed by renowned creators/designers who support more trees’s activities, you can offset your CO2 without too much of an effort.

To start, why don’t you find out the amount of your CO2 production?
