carbon offset at more trees

more tree’s perspective on the offset

more trees’s carbon offset programs are designated to a benefit of earth. In another words, its success can be measured by increasing the area of healthy-grown forests on a global scale. more trees seeks for a benefit that lies as a common denominator of international society by reducing and fixating the volume of CO2 in the atmosphere.

more trees believes that the offset should not be applied to benefit a specific country in order to satisfy its Kyoto Protocol standard.

Relationship between forests and the United Nations projects

There are more than 1100 United Nations authorized CO2 elimination/reduction projects, designated for developing countries in the world(Also known as the CDM Project). However, there is only one CDM project that is related to forestry(As of September, 2008).

The reason behind this figure is because there are many restrictions behind dealing with forests. Additionally, it usually takes 1 to 2 years to be approved by the United Nations.

Based on these facts, while more trees respects CDM projects, more trees has created its own standard to generate forests. Once forests are revitalized, they will absorb more CO2. With numerical evidence and a playful attitude – sharing the process with joy, along with people and corporates – that’s the philosophy of more trees’ carbon offsetting.

Lastly, more trees not only creates forests, but it also values a forest’s diverse values to various people.
