BACKGROUND

The speed of deforestation in our planet, earth, is faster than ever and we have reached a critical point of global warming.

Musician, Ryuichi Sakamoto, has been committing to environmental problems and peace activities through various media. Sakamoto now thinks that human beings and civilizations must be averted from extinction by recreating natural forests – a primary source of trees, which go through photosynthesis to produce 0₂ out of CO₂ – with an aid of forestation.

In July 2007, the 5 founders, Ryuichi, Sakamoto, Haruomi Hosono, Yukihiro Takahashi, Shinichi Nakazawa, and Moichi Kuwahara, with a support of over 100 people from various industries, created more trees as an intermediary corporation.
