It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Ryuichi Sakamoto, Representative of More Trees, on March 28, 2023.  

We would like to express our deepest gratitude for your kindness and friendship with our Representative during his lifetime. 

Founded by Sakamoto in 2007, More Trees is now in its 16th year was looking forward to further develop its forest conservation activities both in Japan and overseas.  

We believe that the best way to pay respect to Sakamoto’s legacy and passion, is to continue on our activities in collaboration with our supporters to address forest conservation. 

　
Sakamoto often referred to the following mantra regarding environmental issues: 

“Think pessimistically, act optimistically” 

We shall carry on the legacy of Sakamoto and solemnly continue our activities. We kindly ask for your encouragement and support in our endeavors.
